Sailing economics... why Pure Latitude makes even more sense!

In these times of credit crunch, recession , spending reviews and tax increases, the economic logic of Boatshare Membership becomes ever more compelling. Sailing and power boating have always been expensive in terms of capital but running costs are easily overlooked. Remember that a year’s membership with Pure Latitude is less than the annual cost of mooring a 35ft boat in a Solent Marina.

It’s no wonder that boatshare membership is becoming ever more popular, in fact it’s the fastest growing sector of the marine industry. Pure Latitude’s choice of boats and unique flexible booking system mean more sailing time and no maintenance hassle …  it really is the smart way to get on the water! With a great range of boats to choose from Pure Latitude gives you more freedom than any other boatshare scheme.

Winter maintenance - we've got it covered

You may think the winter months are a quiet time at the Pure Latitude office; however nothing could be further from the truth! Just to give you an idea of what you’re missing out on, here is an overview of our winter maintenance program.

Each boat is lifted out of the water for up to 4 weeks. Whilst out we undertake a full maintenance check, the hull is cleaned, polished and antifouled, the sails and cushions are removed and cleaned and of course any areas of damage are repaired. The size of the fleet means it’s a full on 4 month program - why would anyone own a boat?

I look forward to seeing you at the London Boat Show.

Kind regards
